I think the rain did rather obscure most things last time – though was quite an experience in itself (remember the tv crew?) No rain this time around, just sun making the Spanish tiles gleam

I don’t remember such a Spanish influence to the architecture in Santa Barbara…although possibly because we couldn’t see properly through all the rain when we were there!!!

Loving the idea of the bartering system – there’s differently too much reliance on currency these days and this way people are more interactive with one another making it good for that community spirit, which is sadly so lacking in the modern world.
